1. What payment options do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
2. Do you accept wire transfers or PayPal?
At this moment we do not offer these payment options.
3. Are sales taxes applicable to purchases?
Residents of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island pay the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Remaining Canadian residents outside of Ontario pay only the GST. Residents outside of Canada pay no sales tax. Taxes will be calculated automatically, during the check-out process if applicable.
4. I live outside of Canada (or Ontario), why do I have to pay sales tax when purchasing in person at your store?
Unfortunately the Canadian tax regulations state that any tax exemption applies only to goods shipped out of province or country. Any in store purchase is subject to Ontario sales tax regardless of residency.
5. I live outside of Canada, am I able to recoup the taxes paid for in store purchases?
In most cases the GST paid can be recouped and PST over $50.00CDN can be recouped by filling out appropriate forms at the border.
6. Are products shown on our website in stock?
Products listed on our website may or may not be in stock. If the item is in stock in our retail store then the item can be shipped immediately. If it is not in stock we can order it for you. We will email you to let you know the wait time for receipt of your product. If after checking out you do not wish to wait, the order can be cancelled and your credit card purchase will be refunded. You can contact us if you wish us to check stock for you before checking out.
7. What Currency will my sale be charged in?
Since we are located in Canada all sales will be charged in Canadian funds. For USA and international customers the credit card company will convert the funds to your country's currency. Please note that currency exchange rates can sometimes fluctuate daily and that each financial institution will have their own rates. Since this is beyond our control we cannot be held responsible for differences in price due to currency fluctuations.
8. What Exchange Rate do you use when I view items in US dollars?
To help our US customers decide how our competitive our prices are, we offer US currency price. However, we only allow Canadian currency payment. We are using the most up-to-date exchange rate by retrieving data from oanda or xe exchange server. You can log on to www.oanda.com or www.xe.com to see how this works. We are doing our best to update the exchange rate everyday, however, we can not guarantee any accurate exchange rate you might expect. If you have any questions about exchange rate, its better to give us a call before you place your order.
Frequently Asked Shipping Questions
1. Which shipping courier do you use?
At the moment we ship products using Canada Post only.
2. Can I know the shipping cost before I register or check out?
Yes, we offer built-in shipping calculator for Canada Post. When you click "Add to cart", you will see the shipping quote on the next page, after you punch in your postal code or zipcode, you can get the shipping price to your location.
Please verify your shipping cost before purchasing products. Depending on how far you are located from Toronto, it is quite possible that shipping may be more than the cost of the item. With accurate quotes you will have all the information required to make an informed decision on whether to purchase the item.
3. When will my item be shipped?
If item is is stock we will attempt to ship your item within 48 hours after payment has been received.
4. Do you ship on weekends?
No, our shipping department is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time.
5. I have my own courier account; do you accept my account number?
At present time our automated checkout and shipping modules do not support a user owned account. Please do not purchase item if this is not acceptable to you.
6. How are shipping rates calculated?
Canada Post, as well as most of the major Canadian couriers, charge you by the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight. Dimensional weight is a calculated weight that is based on the dimensions and volume of the box. For example a large box carrying goalie pads may only actually weigh 12 lbs, however due to the size of the box the dimensional weight is over 50 lbs.
7. I live in the USA, do I pay any taxes?
Residents living outside of Canada pay no Canadian sales tax, however many countries (including the USA impose their own customs, duties, tariffs, and taxes etc. on items being shipped and imported from a foreign country. Due to various trade agreements and minimum dollar amounts the majority of items will be duty free, however if fees are imposed, the purchaser will be responsible for the payment.
